This monologue night the theme will be “Love”.
So take this theme by it’s horns and go nuts with it (he he).
With a monologue of your choice, you’re gonna take the stage, in Flannery’s on the 22nd of January!
If you want to participate (which we highly encourage) please contact the always lovely Lesley-Ann, and she will put your name down on the list. You can reach her on: Lesley127ann@gmail.com
But if you’re more of the observing kind, we’d love for you to come along and support our acts for only €5!
It’s guaranteed to be a highly entertaining night!

The No Drama Monologue Night is a great way to get yourself comfortable with being on stage.
We also arrange a day of rehearsal where you will be guided by your fellow performers and given directions to help your performance.
For anyone who wants to get experience prior to any upcoming auditions or before the Shindig (bi-annual showcase night) recruitment season starts, this is the perfect way to get valuable experience and get your name out there.
No Drama Theatre are proud to present this double bill of original theatre.

“Symbiotic” is play unlike any other! Three actors and a writer combined their ideas and inspiration and crafted a sentient piece of theatre.
Three people, one room and a different out come each night..come and see, who knows what will happen…
Starring – Fintan Ryan, Izzy Hughes and Annette Burns
Written by Sarah Lynne, Assisted by John Fox
(Soon to be working the one act circuit!)
The rain hammers down. Parts of the puzzle are starting to slot into place, but are the clues all they seem? The pieces are moving on the board, but is everyone playing the same game? Somebody is dead, stabbed through the heart. Somebody is running from the law, looking for a saviour. Somebody is out for revenge, relentlessly tracking their prey. Somebody doesn’t see why this couldn’t all wait till the morning. But Frank O’Hara is on the scene, and that means someone’s body on the floor.
Starring – Declan Ryan, Kate Cosgrave, Charlotte Keating and Malcolm Bolton
Written by Johnny Shortall
When: doors open at 19.30 (show starts at 20.00), Monday 19th September

No Drama will hold its Annual General Meeting this Tuesday 12th of July in Synge Street CBS at 7pm.
This is a great opportunity for our members to have a say in how we go about the things we do, to find out what happens behind the scenes and also air any issues or ask the Committee any questions (eg. What’s with all the fancy crowns and sceptres?!?).
The AGM will be our last event before we take a break for the summer. Workshops will start up again in mid-August.
Also very importantly there will be NO WORKSHOP on that Tuesday!
No Drama is proud to present our summer Shindig! An evening to showcase the talents of our members as writers and actors. Come along to the Pearse Centre on the 9th of July and enjoy eight unique and original pieces directed and performed by our very own No Drama talent.
Tell your friends about it but remember there are only about 60 seats. It’s a first come first served basis so get there early.
Tickets are €5 and available at the door.
Performance starts 7pm sharp.
It’s a quiz.
Where: The Grand Social, Liffey St.
There will be questions.
What kind: Who even asks that!? It’s a quiz. Turn up and see what you know… or don’t know.
And oh how we will all laugh….
How much for this ‘laugh’: €10 per person. Don’t worry about having a team organised beforehand. We’re a very sexy inclusive bunch.
Things should kick off at 8pm so please be there around 7.30 so you can get your team sorted, order some pizza, get your pint of leffe and have that one last google of random facts.
This is the fundraiser for ‘The Trial’ project so who better to be running the night than a real-life burrito-loving lawyer, Jonathan Shortall.
Full details for ‘The Trial’ can be found on our Facebook event page
Tickets for No Drama’s latest play The Trial are now on sale at the Smock Alley website.
Our award-winning One Act “Gooseberry” is playing next month at the Bray One Act Festival.
Written by Hugh Cardiff and directed by Nikhil Dubey, Gooseberry is a heartwarming comedy about 3 Roscommon farmers.
It will play on Wednesday the 27th of January in the Mermaid Arts Centre in Bray. Tickets can be booked here.
P.S. Our friends at At Large theatre are showing their One Act “The Meeting” the following day in the same festival. Worth checking out.
Are you the music type or the movies type? Are sports or video games your bag? Everybody’s got their favourite, and this time around the No Drama Table Quiz aims to tickle your fancy and make you think “Argh! I know that one”!
But…if you know the answer to such questions as “Who said ‘I am the one who knocks'” or “When did Ireland win the Grand Slam in rugby?”…frankly, it’s useless information and it won’t help you in this quiz. A multimedia feast, all questions will be tantalisingly fun, but a touch different from your typical table quiz.
“What’s this for?” I hear you ask. To which I may sarcastically reply “Read the heading”. Or, if you’ve caught me in a good humour, I’ll explain that it’s for No Drama’s Winter Production, ‘Harvey’! A comedy written by Mary Chase with our maestro Declan Ryan directing a wonderful cast from December 1st to December 5th in Smock Alley. This table quiz will allow that to happen and will of course, whet your appetite in coming along to see it!
Tenner in, raffle tickets to be bought at half time, awesome prizes to be won. For an example, a copy of Destiny on PS4!!
So come on down to the Grand Social this Wednesday 11th of November at 7.30pm. It’s €10 euro per person and you can either get yourself a team together (4 or 5 max please) or come along yourself and we’ll put you with a team.
And here is the facebook link so you can show off to all your facebook friends:
