Summer Production Assistant Director: Jacqueline Carroll

We are thrilled to announce the Assistant Director of our Summer Production 2023, Jacqueline Carroll! 🥳

Jacqueline will work alongside Director Dave McGowan to bring Tom Stoppard’s ‘The Real Inspector Hound’ to Smock Alley’s Boys School this 4th-8th July! ❤️

Here’s what she had to say:

“Hey Folks,
I’m delighted to be taking on the Assistant Director job and working with Dave on The Real Inspector Hound. It will be exciting to try a new production role and it is a great chance for me to learn from an experienced director.

Bit about me.. I’m a singer and actor and performed with A Glor Gospel, Belle Harmonics, Kilmainham Inchicore Musical Society and most recently, No Drama Theatre which I joined in 2022.  I trained in Meisner technique with Momentum Acting Studio and acting for screen with Bow Street Academy. My most recent productions : Family Man & Saplings (short film) The Buried & Fusion Murga in Scene and Heard (theatre).

Last year I wrote and directed my first piece ‘Frog Soup’ in the No Drama Summer Shindig which whetted my appetite for the directing side of things. In the Autumn, I had my first experience as a Production Manager for No Drama Theatre’s Winter production of Dracula. I loved working on the play and learned so much. I can’t wait to get started on The Real Inspector Hound, promises to be another great production. This is a fun show – if you’re on the fence about auditioning.. send that application in now!”
