Please welcome our costume and set designer for this year’s Summer Production of ‘Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead’ – Sorcha Herlihy!
Professionally acting since the age of 12 in both screen + theatre including feature and short films (Evelyn, Dark by Noon, Carte Blance, Lava Lisa, Ask Me Now), Television (Red Rock, CSI), Commercial campaigns (Electric Ireland, Vodafone, Guinness, 5 lamps), Music Videos (Dirty Epics, Cry Harridan, RyanJ, Great White Lies, Scally, Johnny.climax) working alongside directors such as Bruce Beresford, Declan Loweny, Diarmuid Googins and Chris Cottam, Sorcha studied Screen Acting, Drama and Theatre studies across Dublin + Los Angeles.
Her theatre highlights include Jamie in Mick Pobletes ‘Threading water’ (The New Theatre), The Flood in Eve Enslers ‘The Vagina Monolgues’ (The Sugar Club), Fionnuala in ‘The Children of Lir’ (Electric Picnic, Cloughjordan Amphitheatre), Hallie Jackson in ‘The man who shot liberty valance’ (Smock Alley Theatre), Izzy in Theresa Rebecks ‘Seminar’ (The Players Theatre), Dracula-The Lover (Smock Alley Theatre), Stephanina in Showtime by Ciaran Treanor for Scene+Heard festival of new work (Smock Alley), Girleen in Martin McDonagh’s ‘The Lonesome West’ (Theatre 36 The Teachers Club), ‘Canoe’ written and directed by Shivvy Hickey for Scene and Heard festival with After Midnight Theatre.
Sorcha studied both Fashion and Interior Design, working now as an Interior Designer and has worked in set and costume design, her previous work with No Drama was costume design for the 2019 production of ‘Gaslight’.
She is delighted to be working on this exciting production alongside an incredible team!
‘Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead’, by Tom Stoppard, directed by Shivvy Hickey, will run from Tuesday 11 to Saturday 15 June 2024, in Smock Alley Theatre, Boys School!
