We are incredibly excited to announce our Summer Production for 2023: The Real Inspector Hound, by Tom Stoppard!!! 🎉

And at the helm of this production, we have its extremely talented director, Dave McGowan!! 🥳

The show will run from the 4th to the 8th of July 2023, including a matinée, in Smock Alley Theatre, Boys School.

We’ll be announcing audition dates veeerry soon, so keep your eyes peeled! 😉

And now for a few words from our director, Dave:

“Hello No Drama!  I’ve only just found out,  so I’m still getting my head around the idea that I’ll be directing this Summers main production for ND. – The Real Inspector hound! 

The play itself I’m very fond of having been involved with a production in the past. It’s a kind of loving parody of the Agatha Christie style murder mysteries, a remote location, a mysterious murder, secrets and intrigue! But it’s also got some weird and unusual twists of its own as we see the play through the eyes of Birdboot and Moon, two self obsessed critics here to review the performance and all is not as it seems..

I’ve also been asked to introduce myself,  although I’ve done this enough times I feel y’all will be sick of hearing about me!  I’ve been with No Drama since its inception and have played various roles in the running of the group, although these days I mostly just get to enjoy taking part! This will be my 4th production as director for No Drama having previously taken the helm on Ecstasy, The Man From Earth and She Kills Monsters all of which were delightfully unique experiences and I look forward to getting to know our cast and crew as they assemble and seeing how ‘Hound’ takes shape.
