‘Physical Core’

Do you feel like you get too much in your head when having to perform a scene? The character starts to feel like a too tight costume you can’t comfortably embody after too much analysing?

Well this Tuesday we are tackling that brain focused approach by acting purely from a physical standpoint! Inspired by Michael Chekhov’s (not to be confused with the writer and his uncle Anton Chekhov) theory of physical acting, we’ll get out of our heads and into our body. See how simple of an exercise can make a clear character for the audience, how a scene can transform through a physical change in body language.
